James May and Jeremy Clarkson highlighted the crypto scam after paid-for adverts appeared on X directing users to a fake BBC article.

Irish minister wants X to remove ‘deeply sinister’ crypto scam ads

Irish deputy prime minister Micheál Martin sent a legal letter demanding that X remove the crypto scam adverts using his likeness.

The Satoshi X account was reported to be under the shared ownership of Craig Wright until it was lost to hackers at the start of the year.
