OpenAI exec’s Twitter account hacked to steal crypto

OpenAI CTO Mira Murait’s Twitter account briefly promo’d a scam crypto airdrop with links to a phishing website.

CoinDeal executive indicted in $45M crypto fraud

Bryan Lee has been indicted for his role in the $45 million CoinDeal fraud scheme which saw investor funds used to purchase real estate.

The scam tricks HitBTC users into approving a phishing contract before instructing them to deposit assets and draining their wallet.

The illicit funds have been seized from six accounts that the DoJ alleges are laundering funds for crypto confidence scams.

A new scam appears to allow users to avoid the risk of a USDC depeg, but instead it drains the wallet of unsuspecting victims.
