Data stolen from the British Library is being auctioned for bitcoin on the dark web

Data, including passport details and employment data, was stolen in October and is reportedly being used to blackmail the British Library.

Crypto scams favor Revolut when ripping off Brits, major bank says

According to UK banks, crypto scammers are often choosing Revolut to receive fraudulent funds as reported crypto scams rise by 23% in a year.

In the first-of-its-kind case, police will use the Proceeds of Crime Act to pay back crypto scam victims with funds seized from an exchange.

Scottish Police described the $200,000 bitcoin robbery as the first of its kind to involve tracking crypto.

Crypto promotions came under the FCA’s remit earlier this month and it has highlighted three red flags that it will be cracking down on.
