Tornado Cash still laundering funds as founder Roman Storm stands trial

Roughly $10M worth of ETH stolen from Infini was sent to Tornado Cash today, while over 1,700 ETH was swapped for roughly 5.9M DAI.

US gov’t weaponised evidence against Tornado Cash, report

Danny Nelson accused the US government of “weaponising” his old group chat via misconstrued evidence against Tornado Cash and Roman Storm.

Roman Storm had to raise another $2M as the legal fees from the US case against crypto mixer Tornado Cash continue to pile up.

The hacker behind the $12M Cork Protocol exploit has sent $11M of stolen ETH through Tornado Cash and donated $24K to Storm’s legal fund.

Roman Storm’s legal team requested extra time to counter the US government’s arguments and was boosted with $500K from the ETH Foundation.
