Judge can’t decide if Roman Storm should be acquitted

The Tornado Cash co-founder will have to wait a little while longer before finding out if he’ll be acquitted ahead of a potential retrial.

DOJ seeks October retrial for Tornado Cash dev Roman Storm

US Attorney Jay Clayton has requested a re-trial of Tornado Cash developer Roman Storm on two of his criminal charges.

Ethereum core developer Federico Carrone was arrested, and released, in Turkey this week over his links to an Ethereum privacy protocol.

DeFi advocates are concerned that the Roman Storm verdict could set a precedent for developers of other protocols.
