Tornado Cash founder nears $2M legal fund goal ahead of trial

Roman Storm had to raise another $2M as the legal fees from the US case against crypto mixer Tornado Cash continue to pile up.

Cork hacker sends ETH to Tornado Cash, donates to Roman Storm’s fund

The hacker behind the $12M Cork Protocol exploit has sent $11M of stolen ETH through Tornado Cash and donated $24K to Storm’s legal fund.

Roman Storm’s legal team requested extra time to counter the US government’s arguments and was boosted with $500K from the ETH Foundation.

PeckShieldAlert reports that the address tied to the exploit moved 5,111 ETH and 16 million DAI to a new address.

Tornado Cash co-founder Roman Storm is asking for another $2M after already spending millions over the past two years.
