Musk Twitter scams pivot to paid ads that shill Mars trips and brain chips

A recent report from Forbes claims that the numbers of paid ads featuring Twitter CEO Elon Musk’s photo are on the rise.

Bitcoin, get over here! Scam used Mortal Kombat to steal crypto

The Mortal Kombat scam targeted Windows computers by sending emails impersonating crypto wallet and payment platform CoinPayments.

Namecheap hackers sent out a flood of messages claiming to be from delivery service DHL or MetaMask and demanding users’ private information.

The woman was tricked by scammers into making 40 separate crypto payments to claim compensation after the cat apparently died in transit.

Hackers have also masqueraded as the Indian Embassy of Oman and a Spanish pop singer to lend weight to XRP-related scams.
