KSI’s crypto Twitter return hit with community note warning
The crypto-focused X (formerly Twitter) account of famed YouTuber KSI posted for the first time in more than a year only to be hit with a community note warning users to “exercise caution” as he “dumped crypto tokens” shortly after a promotion.
The boxer, YouTuber, rapper, and energy drink entrepreneur posted “Does this still work?” on his X account on Tuesday.
However, no sooner had it been posted than it received a community note, saying “KSI has dumped crypto tokens a short while after appearing to promote them. Readers should exercise caution with his comments.”
The note cited crypto sleuth ZachXBT and his thread documenting KSI selling various crypto tokens shortly after talking them up. ZachXBT claims that KSI sold $850,000 worth of the crypto token $XCAD in the days after posting “$XCAD bag is looking juicy again. #HodlGang.”

KSI also promoted ‘$PU$$Y’ and ‘SUPER ERN’ before supposedly selling hours later for a collective $374,000. Zach used KSI’s shared NFTs and Opensea account to find his crypto addresses and link them to his selling.
The note, however, has since been taken down. ZachXBT told Protos “Community notes come and go,” while suggesting it may have received either too many upvotes or downvotes in a short period. Indeed, a note that receives a majority ‘unhelpful’ vote will be removed from X.
KSI, real name Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji, used his X account to share his insights on “Everything Crypto.” His last post before his hiatus was in November 2022. Users responded to his post saying “Bro please not for another 6 months,” and “No, bro please… The market was actually in up only mode since you left 💀.”
